Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a higher education program (college or university): Business, Economics, Finance, and related majors preferred
  • Prior internship experience or one year of work experience
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
  • Interested in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital
  • Love to prospect – you will act as the engine of our sales team, warming up leads to be shared with outside sales
  • Able to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
  • Demonstrate curiosity with a positive attitude
  • Demonstrate prioritization skills to handle the large volume of leads efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to try new ideas in order to achieve greater levels of success
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
  • To be considered for the intern position, applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom on a full-time basis upon hire. PitchBook will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status).

Responsibilities

  • Complete required PitchBook trainings to learn sales strategy, company culture, and gain industry knowledge
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly outreach goals including demo and call volume while providing an excellent experience for prospective clients
  • Connect with prospects through written and verbal communication in order to book demos that show off the PitchBook product offering and drive deal closure
  • Prospect potential accounts, searching for key points of contact through marketing generated leads
  • Drive engagement with prospects through marketing provided materials via Highspot
  • Act as a consultant to prospects by seeking to understand their needs and business priorities
  • Guide potential clients through needs analysis and discovery sessions to qualify leads and drive new opportunities
  • Work closely with our Outside Sales team to learn about the needs of our clients and the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Document the details of each prospective client interaction in Salesforce to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure
  • Consistently follow-up on prospective client inquiries
  • Set and achieve a professional development goal during your internship
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
