What is the purpose of the Discovery Diversity Programme?
The Discovery Diversity Programme is designed for students from underrepresented groups, allowing them to be assessed and apply early for Summer Internships in 2026, while also learning about careers at Barclays and the business world.
Who is eligible to apply for the programme?
Applicants must be two years out from graduation and can be studying any degree discipline. The programme encourages students from all backgrounds, especially those identifying with the 6 Intersectional DE&I agendas.
When does the Discovery Diversity Programme take place?
The programme will take place in-person on April 9th and 10th, 2025.
What activities are included in the programme?
The programme includes seminars and workshops on financial services, breakout sessions specific to business areas, networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates, and assessments for the 2026 Summer Internship on the second day.
Can I apply if I require visa sponsorship?
Yes, Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK for the duration of the 2026 Summer Internship Programme, but sponsorship will not be provided for the two-day insight programme.
How will I be assessed for the Summer Internship during the programme?
On the second day of the programme, participants will be assessed through two assessments to determine eligibility for the 2026 Summer Internship.
Is there a deadline for applying to the programme?
Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, so it is recommended to apply early.
