What days are available for volunteering shifts?
Shifts are available on Mondays, Tuesday (PM), Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Is previous experience required to volunteer?
No experience is required to volunteer; you just need to be motivated, hardworking, and enjoy being part of a team.
What type of tasks will I be doing as a shop volunteer?
As a shop volunteer, you'll serve customers, sort and price donated items, work on shop displays, keep the shop tidy, and interact with the general public, among other tasks.
What skills can I gain from volunteering?
You can gain important skills such as teamwork, communication, and using your initiative, which are highly valued in the workplace.
Is there an age requirement to volunteer?
The minimum age for volunteering in our shops is 18. However, if you are aged between 16-18, you may still be able to volunteer if you are on a recognized scheme, such as the Duke of Edinburgh.

Yes, there will be a full induction and ongoing training opportunities provided to ensure you are fully confident and able to excel in your role.

Is there a support system in place for volunteers?
Yes, the friendly Cancer Research UK team will be there to support you throughout your volunteering journey, offering guidance and helping to build your confidence.
