Responsibilities

  • Support advocacy around protecting and strengthening housing policy and investments, in coordination with other NWLC work to defend against cuts to anti-poverty programs critical to women’s economic security
  • Research legal and policy issues within our issue areas
  • Track federal and state legislation on core and emerging legal issues
  • View or attend meetings and events on behalf of the team, such as Congressional proceedings, coalition meetings and policy briefings
  • Support the preparation of NWLC products like factsheets, issue briefs, or comments on proposed federal agency regulations
  • This internship will likely not involve litigation activities
