What kind of technology will I be using during the internship?
You will utilize Robotic Total Station, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), and Terrestrial Laser Scanning to collect and prepare survey data.
What are the primary responsibilities of the survey internship?
Your responsibilities will include adjusting and operating surveying instruments, compiling information to stake projects for construction, operating computerized data collection, and recording survey measurements and descriptive data.
What physical abilities are required for this position?
You will need to walk, climb, and maneuver outdoors for field surveys, lift and carry survey equipment, and operate a company vehicle to travel to work sites.
Is prior experience in surveying necessary?
Basic survey skills are desired, but prior experience is not strictly necessary as the internship is designed for knowledge and skill development.
What educational background is preferred for candidates?
Ideal candidates will be enrolled in a Survey Engineering, Survey Technology, or Civil Engineering program.
Will I be required to work outdoors?
Yes, the position involves outdoor work, including in inclement weather, as you will conduct field surveys.
