What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is a temporary position for up to a 1-year assignment.
How many hours will I work per week?
The position is full-time, with up to 40 hours per week.
Are there any benefits associated with this internship?
Depending on hours worked and the duration of the position, temporary employees may qualify for an offer of medical benefits, deferred compensation, and employee discounts. They are also eligible for sick leave.
Is prior experience required for this position?
While no extensive experience is required, 6 months of experience with Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy equipment, forensic gas detection, and/or greenhouse gas emission measurements is preferred.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this internship?
Applicants should be current or recently graduated students with a Bachelor's Degree or pursuing a Master's Degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, water resources, hydrology, ecological engineering, or a related science.
Will I receive paid holidays or vacation time?
No, temporary positions are not eligible for paid holidays or paid vacation time off.
What are the necessary steps after receiving a job offer?
Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the successful completion of a driving record review, passing a physical exam, and a criminal background check.

Will I be assigned a mentor during the internship?
Yes, the intern will assist with assigned research projects under the direction of a mentor and senior personnel.
