Requirements

  • Must-have Qualifications:
  • Actively pursuing a Bachelors, Master's, or PhD in any field.
  • At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship.
  • Available to work 40 hours a week for 15 weeks.
  • Nice-to-have Qualifications:
  • We’ve taken special care to separate the must-have qualifications from the nice-to-haves. “Nice-to-have” means just that: Nice. To. Have. So, don’t worry if you can’t check off every box. We’re not hiring a list of bullet points–we’re interested in the whole you.
  • We are especially interested in applications from folks from a community that has been systemically excluding from the tech sector (any major) or folks pursuing Library Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences or Arts.
  • Highly organized. You stay on top of what needs to get done.
  • Curious. You always want to know 'why?' and you are interested in what makes other people tick
  • Collaborative. You know you don't have all the answers and want to get things done together with others.
  • It helps if you have some understanding of what UX Research is and if you believe in the power of knowledge and science to help people make better decisions

Responsibilities

  • You will experience Splunking and what defines our culture while honing the skills which separate our development teams from others. As a member of the Research and Insights team you will have the opportunity to learn about building processes, practices and systems that empower a team of Researchers and their partners (Designers, Product Managers and Engineers) to do their best work.
  • This role is for anyone who loves to find problems to solve in how people work, collaborate and find information and to come up with better, simpler solutions that help us work smarter.
  • Maybe you're the kind of person who has thought "I could use this tool for something different" and then made it happen. Maybe you are the one who gets others organized to achieve common goals. Maybe you've observed a real world problem and created a smart system that addressed that issue in a way that's repeatable.
