What does the WAY Internship Program entail?
The WAY Internship Program is a six-month internship running from the fall through the spring semester, designed for high-performing rising seniors to gain extended internship opportunities that enhance their professional skills and deepen their understanding of Warner Bros. Discovery’s businesses and culture.
Where is the internship located?
The internship will be located in the Atlanta (ATL) area.
What are the expected working hours for this internship?
Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
What are the main responsibilities of the intern?
The intern will work with editors and social discovery producers, make calls to verify information, vet social media posts for newsgathering, and help write alerts distributed within CNN and to its affiliates.
What qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university, be a rising Senior graduating in Spring 2025, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, and commit to the entire six-month duration of the internship.
Are candidates allowed to have student or exchange visas?
No, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
Is the internship paid?
Yes, the internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. While credit is not required, the necessary documentation for school credit can be provided if desired.
What are the program dates for the internship?
The program starts on October 7th and ends on April 18th.
Can I receive updates on my application status?
Due to the high volume of applications, the company is unable to provide individual status updates on applications.
What should I know about the interview process?
Interviews will take place from July through late August. A WBD team member will contact candidates if their experiences and interests match an open internship position.
