Responsibilities

  • Prepares, analyzes and reviews financial statements using accounting principles.
  • Keeps records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities.
  • Prepares reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other documents that project the
  • Review financial statements for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for accounting operations and/or a complex segment of the accounting function.
  • Coordinates accounting matters with other departments as necessary.
  • Assist in month end close, annual budgeting, and periodic activities for forecasting of manufacturing variance.
  • Prepare accounting analysis for monthly journal entries, prepare backup, and process entries in SAP. Coordinate and track the status activities for the monthly accounting close.
  • Assist in monthly preparation of analyses for Plant Production Reports. Provide analysis for monthly key performance indicators and OPEX reporting.
  • Maintain plant data for cost centers, headcount, capital, and budget information.
  • Assist in preparing monthly expense accruals. Periodically review open purchase orders and identify if they can be closed or adjustments are needed to resolve.
  • Track utility bills. Prepare analysis so they can be evaluated and forecasted. Assist in developing and administering that actual bills are allocated based on plant allocation table.
  • Assist monthly tracking of capital project status by evaluating open purchase orders for WBS or Internal Order elements related to the open projects. Provides comprehensive and cumulative report reconciling all WBS Elements or Internal Orders for each project. Review charges on each project for validity and transfer costs when it has been determined to be incorrectly posted. Provide approved vs actual spend variance report to engineering and project managers.
  • Assist the asset tagging process. Perform routine fixed asset cycle counts, complete documentation for disposing assets.
  • Assist in the annual inventory physical count and all cycle count activities. Perform monthly review of inventory levels, evaluate material on quality hold, and prepare analysis of reserve for disposition.
  • Provide support and instruction for production floor data entry into SAP. Review manufacturing date routinely and correct reporting errors.
  • Provide support for scheduling, training, and continuing to work with cost center managers on monthly review of cost center reports for their areas. Provide additional analysis to identify where costs have exceeded budget and develop remedies to account for the variance. Coordinate the estimating and collection of cost center budgets. Responsible for consolidating the cost center budgets and entry into the plant budget.
  • Provide information and support of the year-end financial audit. This function is critical to the organization in that we comply with US GAAP and IAS obtain a satisfactory audit.
