  • Assessing process addictions, such as pathological gambling, sexual behaviour, and gaming
  • Participating in the development of a treatment plan with the client and the inter-disciplinary health care team to address the clients’ addiction
  • Providing therapeutic interventions such as Secondary Substance-Abuse Intervention Programs consistent with the established addiction assessment for the client in an individual or group setting
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the counselling program, interventions, and the client’s progressing in resolving identified problems and movement toward personalized objectives
  • Facilitating educational activities and group interventions such as pre-deployment briefings, psychosocial services overview presentations, and group psycho-education sessions
  • Delivery of psycho-educational sessions such as addiction-free living
  • Creating and maintaining confidential client reports on treatment services
