Responsibilities

  • Responsible for coaching teams to adopt and implement engineering best practices.
  • Acts as a change agent who helps set the vision, show the way, and provide thought leadership on removing impediments to engineering and technology success.
  • Coaches and mentors product team members at either the team and/or program levels, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Technical Leads, Software Engineers, and executives to leverage engineering principles and practices to deliver high value business capabilities.
  • Helps coach the team on best practices, design thinking, and engineering culture in real time on work from the team's product backlog.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on scaling engineering practices, embraces servant leadership, understands engineering culture, and serves as a role model for the team to model engineering behaviors and mindsets, which includes key mindset shifts in the journey to the creation of a vibrant engineering culture.
  • Designs, develops, and facilitates training of engineering best practices to assigned teams.
  • Performs evaluations, assessments, and reviews of processes and methodologies.
  • Identifies strengths and continuous improvement recommendations of existing processes.
