Responsibilities

  • Perform the tasks assigned by the Curator, Curatorial Assistant, and Art Preparator II.
  • Under the direction of the Curator, Curatorial Assistant, and Art Preparator II, install and de-install artwork from present locations within the medical center and satellite locations to make way for area renovations or infill/backfill as required by the Facilities Department and the Facilities, Planning, Design and Construction Department.
  • Maintain and update records, documentation and files of the objects included in the CSMC 20,000+ object collection when they are moved, handled or in need of inventory updates.
  • Perform repairs, picture framing, special-display fabrication, and minor conservation/restoration, cleaning, preventative care/maintenance, storing and hanging all objects in the collection as well as the organization and maintenance of the art storage facilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
