Responsibilities

  • - Define and manage learning expectations and ensure effective implementation and delivery of learning solutions, leading to capability enhancement and tangible business results.
  • - Effectively establish, deepen and sustain key relationships with functional stakeholders to understand business needs and related performance gaps, and demonstrate an understanding of processes and methodology in order to provide appropriate learning and engagement solutions.
  • - Collaborate with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes and the required behaviors, skills and knowledge needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • - Define Learning and Development strategies to optimize individual and team performance to ensure business success, working with the Organizational Project Managers to shape the optimal solutions.
  • - Collaborate with other Alcon learning professionals to align, reuse and optimize learning solutions to support performance improvement within the business unit while aligning with the over-arching strategic goals.
  • - Align learning strategies around identified needs and gaps.
  • - Coach business stakeholders around learning strategies while collaborating across R&D functions to leverage existing and/or develop learning solutions to meet unique business requirements.
  • - Partner with HR as needed to support the implementation of a functional/divisional competency-based learning approach.
  • - Assess cultural dynamics and barriers at the divisional level. Partner with R&D stakeholders including HR to identify, test, propose and implement solutions to improve the associate experience.
  • - Accountable for all learning solutions identified as being in scope for annual learning plans and organizational project needs.
  • - Shape learning demand planning and budget needs.
  • - Responsible for ensuring access for the project team to the appropriate business stakeholders and subject matter experts. Partners with the TEDx Program Leads to drive and strengthen the brand and associate engagement at Alcon.
  • - Responsible for ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction and return on investment by delivering the best customer experience, quality of services, products and value.
