Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related questions and concerns by effectively addressing employee-level inquiries daily
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, EAP, and other voluntary benefits
  • Support the day-to-day administration of time off and leave of absence programs such as vacation/PTO, sick leave, and federal, state, and disability leaves, etc., and provide expertise to employees and the HR team
  • Guide employees and teams through the benefits enrollment process and explain available options
  • Maintain accurate employee benefits records, including enrollments, changes, and terminations in the HRIS system
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure accurate employee benefits elections are maintained
  • Oversee all aspects of the 401(k) plan administration, including enrollment, contribution changes, and addressing employee questions
  • Conduct periodic 401(k) administration audits and support with annual testing
  • Liaise with 401(k) plan providers to resolve issues and implement plan changes
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with IRS regulations regarding 401(k) plans including annual audit support
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA
  • Prepare and distribute required employee notices and benefit-related communications
  • Gather benefits data and analytics to help management with strategy and decision-making
  • Support the annual open enrollment process
  • Distribute open enrollment materials and communications in a timely manner
  • Conduct informational sessions to educate employees on benefit changes and options as needed
  • Serve as a liaison between the company and benefits vendors while addressing employee inquiries
