Responsibilities

  • To reception the screening clinic, checking clients’ details and booking them in.
  • Making appointments by letter or by telephone.
  • Communicate with other health care workers e.g. Doctors, Radiographers and others daily.
  • Accurately record patient information on NBSS.
  • To ensure that reports are sent to GP’s within an agreed timescale.
  • Provide a caring service to the patients at all times by being friendly and approachable.
  • Receive and deal with telephone enquiries and liaise with any other staff/departments as required.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality is observed and maintained in respect of all patient information.
  • Carry out duties at other sites within the Trust as required on an occasional basis.
  • Carry out any other duties relevant to the post as requested by the Programme Manager of Breast Screening.
  • Any other duties, which may be requested by the manager, to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
