Responsibilities

  • Manage the design of key elements of large infrastructure projects including civil engineering and wet utilities (watermains, sanitary, and storm)
  • Conduct assessments for stormwater management, drainage, and Low Impact Development (LID)
  • Analyze catchment areas, develop hydrological/hydraulic models, and generate engineering designs
  • Review and produce specifications, bid documents, and project-specific requirements
  • Contribute to small projects such as the civil engineering design for parks or site development projects
  • Support the development of graduate engineers and interns in the team
  • Coordinate with multiple disciplines to develop holistic design approaches
  • Take responsibility for the delivery of client deliverables
  • Assist project managers on day-to-day running of projects such as Light Rail Transit (LRT) and water projects across Canada
  • Attend, contribute to, and lead internal and external project meetings
  • Engage and work with clients, municipalities, and other utility authorities to obtain approvals for design work
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Present technical material in innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences
