What is the main responsibility of a Clinical Pharmacist in this role?
The main responsibility is to improve medicines optimisation for patients while working as part of a strong team.
What kind of experience is required for this position?
Candidates must be fully registered with the GPhC and have post-registration NHS hospital experience working as a clinical pharmacist on wards.
Are there opportunities for further training and development?
Yes, opportunities for further training and development will be available, including non-medical prescribing and leadership training.
Which electronic prescribing system is used in the Trust?
The Trust uses the Cerner E-Prescribing system on the wards.
Will I be required to work weekends?
Yes, you will provide clinical services to the Acute Admissions Unit on weekends as part of your contracted hours on a rotational basis.
Can I participate in training other staff as a Clinical Pharmacist?
Yes, you will have the opportunity to participate in the clinical training and supervision of trainee pharmacists and support less experienced pharmacists.
What departments will I rotate through in this position?
You will rotate through critical care, medical admissions, different medical specialities, general surgery, and adult TPN ward rounds.
Is experience with JAC required for this role?
Knowledge of JAC would be an advantage, but it is not explicitly required for the role.
