What is the primary focus of the Clinical Psychologist position in Pain Management?
The primary focus is to provide a specialist Clinical Psychology service to address the psychological needs of patients referred with chronic pain conditions, working within a multidisciplinary pain team.
Where will the Clinical Psychologist be based?
The Clinical Psychologist will be based at Warwick Hospital, providing services in both Warwick and Stratford.
What type of interventions will the post holder be involved in?
The post holder will oversee Chronic Pain Programs incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness, as well as providing individual and group interventions.
Will the Clinical Psychologist work in a team setting?
Yes, the Clinical Psychologist will work within a friendly and well-established multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Anaesthetists and Physiotherapists.
What type of support will the post holder receive?
The post holder will receive support and supervision from senior Clinical Psychologists with extensive experience in Health Psychology.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must possess relevant qualifications in Clinical Psychology and be trained to provide psychological assessment and interventions.
