Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business Administration or Liberal Arts discipline) or JD
  • 3 – 5 years of experience with management of commercial contracts and related documentation (Aerospace manufacturing contracting strongly preferred)
  • Working knowledge of UCC terms and contract formation
  • Advanced written and interpersonal communication skills to clearly and effectively provide information to internal and external audiences
  • High level of accountability and responsibility with proven record of independently seeing tasks/projects through completion with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Aptitude for problem-solving using logic and sound judgment
  • Exceptional communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Take initiative and anticipate the needs of Managers and the Legal/Contracts Department

Responsibilities

  • Drives the contracts lifecycle (initiates the preparation, review, drafting and negotiation of new contracts, amendments and modifications)
  • Reviews and negotiates Non-Disclosure Agreements and Customer Purchase Order/RFQ Terms and Conditions, in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Create Memorandum of Understanding
  • Create Contract Flow down Summaries
  • Manages completion and distribution of customer forms (Reps & Certs, Surveys, etc.)
  • Coordinates with cross-functional department leads to obtain feedback and ensure appropriate terms review
  • Assists in management of deadlines for contract deliverables, including renewals/expirations
  • Provide high level summaries of contract terms as needed
  • Maintains a deep understanding of contract law, internal contract templates, contract policy, legal risk & liability, and ITT’s position on various matters
  • Interprets contracts and advises sales managers on contractual responsibilities
  • Interfaces with other Contracts Managers and Director of Contracts
  • Manages and maintains the various contracts databases
  • Assists the Legal/Contracts Department as needed
