What is the role of the Data Modeller - Regulatory Excellence?
The Data Modeller - Regulatory Excellence is responsible for managing data as a product across enterprise domains and implementing the Operational Risk control framework, while also assessing operational risks associated with the role and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A minimum of 5 years' experience in data management and modelling solutions within the Financial Services sector is essential. Candidates should preferably have experience in a Treasury/Finance function or related front office environment.
Are there specific tools or technologies that the candidate should be familiar with?
Yes, candidates should have experience with leading data modelling tools such as Visual Paradigm, ERwin, PowerDesigner, ER Studio, and should also be familiar with cloud solutions in GCP, AWS, or Azure, as well as big data solutions.
What methodologies do we use in projects?
The position requires experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies in a large scalable Agile environment, including participation in daily standups and progress reporting.
Is there a focus on data governance in this role?
Yes, knowledge of data standards, data governance, data strategy, and data lineage is advantageous for this role, as well as exposure to data governance initiatives such as lineage, masking, retention policies, and data quality.
What type of documentation is expected from the Data Modeller?
The candidate should be able to produce technical documentation using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), Unified Modelling Language (UML), or BIAN to illustrate data modelling standards.
Will the role involve working with ETL architectures?
Yes, experience with ETL architectures and tools, including data virtualization and API integration, is desirable for this position.
