Mission & Purpose

Ashgate Hospice is a charity (no. 700636) that provides compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across North Derbyshire. For patients with the most complex needs, we have an Inpatient Unit. However, most of our patients are cared for at home by our team of specialist nurses, specialist therapists and healthcare professionals. This enables them to stay where they feel most comfortable for as long as possible. We are not an NHS hospice. Less than 30% of our total income comes from local NHS health budgets. Every £1 donated to Ashgate Hospicecare – whether through participating in an event or donating or buying items in our shops - makes a huge difference. Thank you for your continued support. We wouldn’t be here without it.
