Responsibilities

  • Owns one or more technical domains and drives the organization’s assets from the current state to target state architecture using roadmaps, diagrams, reference models, implementations, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintains subject matter expertise in their assigned domain, whether business or technical.
  • Collaborates with members of IT to review and assess the architecture of Products, Systems, or Applications for compliance to existing standards, guidelines, or best practices.
  • Collaborates with other Enterprise Architects to ensure that any recommendations or approaches will align well from an Application, Infrastructure, and Data perspective.
  • Performs in-depth technical analysis, research, proof of concepts, and evaluations as required to validate that the recommendations Enterprise Architecture makes are sound and will not introduce risk into IT Execution.
  • Maintains an understanding of long-term company and enterprise strategy to ensure that designs will enable the company to meet the changing industry/competitive demands.
  • Reviews Systems, Applications, or Products and provides recommendations for improvements that will enhance the alignment to standards, best practices, or guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture and other members of IT to define architecture standards that drive business capabilities and optimization to create efficiency, quality and agility.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, and influence teams to do what is best for Arch MI without direct reporting responsibility.
  • Prepares presentations, documents, diagrams, models, and other artifacts as required to communicate analysis, recommendations, or designs.
