Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Consulting, Capital Markets or product management/strategy experience within a Financial Services, FinTech or technology company
  • Experience with new/emerging businesses and digital business models
  • Demonstrated ability in project design, management and implementation
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships at every level of the organization
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills and presence
  • Strong technical ability with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and across different lines of business
  • MBA or graduate / post-graduate or professional designations or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of deep and broad management consulting experience with an emphasis on business strategy

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive strategic reviews and analyses leveraging frameworks, approaches, tools and methodologies and develop robust recommendations to support Group Executive, segment Operating Committees, and lines of business
  • Ensure growth strategies are well developed, articulated and aligned across businesses and with enterprise perspective/priorities, and proactively identify benefits such as revenue streams or cost savings opportunities
  • Support the annual enterprise strategic development process, business portfolio review, and related senior leader off sites/events to advance RBC’s strategy
  • Produce materials for Enterprise Strategy Office, Group Executive and Board for review, discussion, and decision
  • Gain the position of trusted advisor and help facilitate trade-off / prioritization decisions with senior leaders, strategists, functions, cross-functional project teams and colleagues by providing rigorous strategic insight based on thorough research and analysis
  • Lead projects end-to-end exhibiting complete ‘ownership’ of the problem, continuously pushing the thinking, while managing stakeholders, junior team members, timelines, and deliverables
  • Mentor and coach Senior Managers and Managers on the team on core strategy skills, professional development, and career management
