Responsibilities

  • Managing the firm’s cohort of prospective trainees through law school
  • Running “keep in touch” events with prospective trainees
  • Liaising with the firm’s appointed law school to ensure successful progression through the firm’s law courses (PGDL and CCP)
  • Managing and delivering the firms trainee induction programme
  • Co-managing the six-weekly mid-seat review and three-monthly review process for all 180 trainees, and providing advice and support to review partners and trainees
  • Managing the firm’s secondment allocation process and working to deliver a successful network and client secondment roster
  • Monitoring trainee performance and supporting trainees’ development areas through individual coaching meetings
  • Managing matters relating to employee relations, including advice and support to the business
  • Participating in HR projects, alongside representatives from a number of teams within the HR Department
  • Attending Trainee Solicitor Partner/Trainee Team Partner forums and assisting with the implementation of any changes to processes in the trainee solicitor life cycle
  • Supporting the Early Careers Recruitment team with recruitment campaigns, including providing statistics for marketing materials and publications, attending events and presenting to vacation visitors
