Responsibilities

  • Our Electrical Technicians undertake electrical maintenance and Atex inspection duties up to and including HV distribution, rotary equipment and C&I under both planned preventative and corrective maintenance policies.
  • They also provide electrical resource and support to the wider BPA team in responding to breakdowns and emergencies on oil storage facilities and pipeline systems operated by BPA.
  • Core responsibilities will be completing and supervising maintenance, fault finding and repairs on all EC&I systems within operational sites.
  • Systems include HV/LV switchgear, intrinsically safe circuits, Ex equipment, motor starters & drives, PLC’s, vapour and fire detection and suppression.
  • In addition, this role will also participate in an out of hours call-out rota for trouble shooting and corrective maintenance.
