What are the main responsibilities of an Electrical Technician at BPA?
The main responsibilities include undertaking electrical maintenance and Atex inspection duties, completing and supervising maintenance, fault finding and repairs on all EC&I systems within operational sites, and providing electrical resource and support to the BPA team in responding to breakdowns and emergencies.
Is there a requirement for a specific electrical qualification?
Yes, a recognised Electrical discipline qualification to NVQ level 3 or equivalent is required.
Will I have the opportunity for further training and development?
Yes, successful candidates will be supported in obtaining the role of Authorised Electrical Person, including High Voltage working, as well as maintaining COMPEX competency to work on EX rated equipment.
What is the shift pattern for this role?
The role includes participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota for troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
Do I need a driving license for this position?
