Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with various organizations and employers from multilateral organizations, NGOs, government, and private sectors to generate internship and job opportunities for Pardee students and recent graduates.
  • Engage alumni as mentors, speakers, and industry contacts to support career development initiatives, including speaking engagements, panel discussions, networking events, and providing guidance and mentorship for current students.
  • Collaborate with the Pardee Career Services team to coordinate recruiting events, employer information sessions, Pardee Career Night, and other activities focused on connecting students with potential employers.
  • Conduct research on current employment trends and opportunities relevant to Pardee students and graduates, and provide guidance and preparation support to students based on this information.
  • Manage Employer Database, Contacts, and Employment Data
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive employer database, including contact information, recruiting preferences, and hiring trends.
  • Utilize internal and external employer data to create resources supporting students in researching and exploring career options effectively.
  • Use database analytics to monitor employer engagement metrics, detect trends, and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Center of Career Development to implement graduate employment surveys, gathering data on student outcomes and analyze patterns of career trajectories.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing key findings and insights for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Collaboration with Pardee Faculty, Staff, BU Community and Beyond
  • Work closely with faculty, particularly Professors of Practice, and Center Directors to coordinate employers' participation in class lectures, speaker events and other career-related activities.
  • Collaborate with the Student Services team and Pardee central administration to ensure comprehensive student advising and support services, addressing students' holistic needs effectively.
  • Actively participate in BU employer engagement meetings and external groups to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
