Is this a full-time position?
Yes, this is a full-time, in-office position based in North York, Toronto.
What kind of training will be provided?
Successful applicants will undergo focused in-house training in editing scholarly content according to MDPI’s conventions by experienced editors.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A bachelor’s degree in any subject is essential, along with expert knowledge of the English language and experience in editing, translating, or publishing.
Are there opportunities for career advancement?
Yes, there are clear progression pathways and opportunities to diversify the role and gain expertise in new areas after the probation period.
What are the performance incentives?
Non-PhD holders can receive a 5% pay increase and PhD holders can receive a 10% pay increase after passing the probation period, in addition to performance-based quarterly bonuses.
Is familiarity with LaTeX necessary for this role?
While familiarity with LaTeX is desirable, it is not an essential requirement for the position.
