Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Lead and monitor closure of action items for hazard analysis assessments, new equipment and or process safety reviews and any other environmental, health and safety related assessments.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify potential environmental hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in maintaining records related to environmental compliance, including waste management, air emissions, and water quality.
  • Review Environmental, health and safety KPI’s to target areas of improvement
  • Support annual environment permit requirements submissions. Assist with preparation of regulatory reports (wastewater, hazardous materials plans, air district reports etc.).
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement through investigating / recommending best practices for all areas of EHS.
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, practices, and behaviors, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of EHS training programs for employees.
  • Support the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures
  • Assist in preparing and submitting required environmental and safety reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Assist in the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Support company sustainability initiatives by participating in environmental conservation and waste reduction programs.
  • Develop and implement site green team focusing on reducing environmental impact.
  • Liase with team members on environmental, health and safety concerns
