Responsibilities

  • Investigate ER complaints as a neutral party from inception to conclusion.
  • Ensure complaints that are investigated meet the threshold question of misconduct, inappropriate workplace behaviour, etc. in line with federal/provincial laws as well as Rogers’ policies and procedures.
  • Dedicate sufficient time to set up and prepare before launching an investigation.
  • Prepare and deliver notification and conclusion letters to complainants, respondents, and witnesses.
  • Collect evidence including interviewing and assessing credibility of relevant parties.
  • Analyse evidence to draw a conclusion on findings.
  • Write conclusive and unbiased investigation reports based on the balance of probabilities.
  • Deliver reports to the respective HR and/or ER partners enabling them to work with business leaders on recommendations and next steps.
  • Maintain Service Level Agreement (SLA) closure times for investigations.
  • Be the designated recipient for Workplace Harassment & Violence (WHVP) complaints to understand the concerns, ensure they meet policy definitions, and triage to early resolution or investigation where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case management records and tracking.
  • Collect, record, and manage case data to ensure consistency and identify areas of concern including emerging issues.
  • Develop effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders within the organization, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust.
  • Participate in ER projects as required.
