What is the primary responsibility of the Executive Assistant - Litigation?
The primary responsibility is to support the team of attorneys and paralegals in managing Assurant’s claims and complex litigation, as well as providing administrative support to the Litigation Practice Group.
What qualifications are required for this position?
A minimum of 7 years of administrative support experience at a top law firm or corporation with considerable experience in litigation support is required.
Is there a preference for local candidates?
Yes, local candidates are preferred and no relocation assistance is offered for this position.
What skills are necessary for this role?
Skills in Microsoft Suite applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills are necessary.
Will I need to obtain any certifications for this job?
While not required, a Notary Public certification is preferred for this position.
What is the working environment like?
The working environment involves sitting at a desk and operating standard office equipment. Employees may need to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
What kind of reports will I be required to prepare?
You will be required to prepare and run litigation reports from the matter management system, including PowerPoint presentations with charts and graphics.
