Responsibilities

  • Join a team of attorneys, paralegals, and administrative professionals in matter management, supervision, and resolution of litigation and other disputed matters across Assurant.
  • Review and analyze incoming lawsuits, regulatory complaints, subpoenas, and pre-litigation matters, opening each in our litigation management system and directing to appropriate team members.
  • Support team attorneys and paralegals in all necessary administrative tasks to support the litigation management process. Coordinate with outside counsel and other vendors on all aspects of the litigation process.
  • Prepare and run litigation reports from the matter management system, including PowerPoint presentations with charts and graphics.
  • Interact with members of the Claims Department and assist the Litigation Practice Group and Legal & Compliance on other matters and projects as needed.
