What is the primary responsibility of the Finance Business Partner?
The primary responsibility of the Finance Business Partner is to provide professional accounting, budgeting, and wider financial stewardship advice to Transport Scotland Directorates, ensuring robust financial management and supporting effective decision-making.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must have strong finance experience, the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-accountants, effective management and interpersonal skills, and a strong background in finance business partnering or management accounting.
Where is this position based?
This position is based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, with hybrid working arrangements in line with current Transport Scotland policies.
How long is the minimum time expected to remain in this position?
You are expected to remain in the post for a minimum of three years unless successful at gaining promotion to a higher band or grade.
What type of assessments will candidates undergo during the recruitment process?
Candidates will be required to sit a numeracy and comprehension/reasoning test as part of the assessment process if successful at the sift stage.
