Responsibilities

  • Ensure that your production team is operating with the highest environmental health & safety (EHS) standards to drive down environmental & safety incidents, first aids, & recordable injuries.
  • Support your production team to complete & report out on EHS, quality, time on product (TOP), & housekeeping projects in alignment with the site’s continuous improvement culture.
  • Own daily management activities such as timekeeping & progressive discipline, training, and other necessary responsibilities.
  • Provide clear communication and operational guidance to management and other Wabtec employees on a daily basis.
  • Work as part of a cross functional team, driving a "one Wabtec" focus, dedicated to customer success within the shop.
  • Help develop and document skills of production employees; educate production employees on business strategy and metrics.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, define priorities for shift and work group leveraging production meetings.
  • Work with various MRP, quality, and MES software systems to manage material and other systemic requirements.
