Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biological sciences, chemistry, food science, pharmacology etc.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
  • 5+ years of direct US dietary supplement/Functional Foods experience. Additional CG/OTC/Consumer Healthcare Quality experience is ideal.
  • 3+ years in auditing US dietary supplement/Functional Foods experience. Additional CG/OTC/Consumer Healthcare Quality experience is ideal.
  • Must have current certification as quality, GMPs and/or safety auditor certified by an internationally recognized body which requires periodic re-certification for the maintenance of the certification. (i.e., ASQ, Global Exemplar, CQI IRCA).
  • Lead Instructor certifications on US dietary supplement/Functional Foods/CG/OTC/Consumer Healthcare experience is ideal.
  • Knowledge and experience on FDA and Health Canada Quality and applicable laws and regulations, as well as of cGMP standards. Knowledge of international applicable laws and regulations is ideal.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management & planning skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting
  • Travel required 50%

Responsibilities

  • This role will provide YOU the opportunity to work with fast-paced businesses to progress YOUR career. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
  • Conduct full cycle of GMP audits for multiple brands: planning, design, performing and issuing reports; collaborate across brands to ensure the audit report reflects compliance within the brands and at suppliers. Issue report and support CAPA closure applicable.
  • Partner with other functions like R&D, regulatory, and supply chain to ensure timely Quality deliveries.
  • Represent company on appropriate forums.
  • Work with in-house and external legal counsel to resolve product compliance conflicts after an audit, and other issues when ambiguity exists in the regulations by applying risk management principles to ensure consumer and brand protection.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training within Quality team/ department as required.
  • Successfully lead/ facilitate internal and external agency audits as required.
  • Maintains an open channel for communication between various stakeholders.
