Responsibilities

  • The post holder is one of the Pathology Senior Management & Leadership Team and will provide Strategic and Operational leadership and management to the Cellular Pathology workforce and services.
  • Working in partnership with other members of the Directorate Management Team, the post holder will promote effective governance and ensure that the department delivers the highest standard of service.
  • They will be responsible for ensuring all clinical and non-clinical performance indicators, targets and objectives are met in line with national and local standards.
  • Working with the Directorate Management Team, the post holder will contribute to the development, delivery and translation of Divisional and Trust clinical service strategies, corporate and divisional objectives and the development and implementation of business plans and service developments.
  • The post holder will take a lead role in ensuring that quality, performance, CIP and budgetary targets are monitored and improvement plans are devised and implemented where necessary to enable compliance.
