Responsibilities

  • The Head of Digital Programmes is responsible for delivering all Digital Programmes and the Digital Annual Plan.
  • This includes managing the Programme function staff and any additional project staff to maintain high-performing teams.
  • The role coordinates the Digital capital programme, ensuring alignment with the annual plan and overseeing the production of Digital business cases.
  • The post holder leads on Programme planning and delivery, setting the strategic direction for technology across the Trust.
  • They are responsible for Digital/IM&T communications, engaging the wider Trust, Digital Department, and external stakeholders on Informatics plans, objectives, and performance.
  • As the Trust’s programme lead, they provide expert advice on programme and strategic matters and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Executive Directors, Clinical Chairs, Clinical Directors, Divisional Directors, General Managers, Divisional Directors of Nursing, Heads of Nursing, and other senior staff and clinicians.
  • The post holder will be a key member of the Digital Leadership Team and will play a key role in bringing a consistent approach to governance and assurance to all digital transformation projects and Programmes.
  • As we move towards the forming and coming together as a Hospital Group, there will be a greater need to work more closely together with our colleagues across both the Acute Hospitals in Bristol, and this role will play a vital part in the collaboration.
  • Whilst this isn't a joint role, there will be a strong desire to work flexibly across both Acute organisations in Bristol, to align governance, policies and processes as we implement and enable the Joint Clinical Strategy.
  • Lead Digital Programmes, manage teams, align plans, and engage stakeholders for strategic delivery.
