Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a short-term and long-term strategy for DEI&B that is future-fit, innovative, and aligned with business goals.
  • Establish a plan that addresses DEI&B in multiple areas across the organization, considering and not limited to: retention and development of diverse talent, training and learning opportunities, recruitment strategies, corporate initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Leverage external insights and extensive DEI&B experience to drive impact and effectiveness when planning the annual strategy.
  • Prioritize initiatives and lead through others to deliver DEI&B results in the North America business.
  • Build employee engagement through Business Resource Groups by supporting Executive Sponsors and developing growth goals in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Partner and lead the North America Executive Leadership Team and HR Leadership Team on all matters DEI&B related.
  • Advise senior leadership on navigating complex issues.
  • Work effectively across global teams and matrices to assure alignment with worldwide Unilever DEI&B strategies and priorities.
  • Liaise closely with internal counsel and other required stakeholders to assure compliance on all initiatives including data security and federally required nondiscrimination and equal employment opportunity policies and programs.
  • Serve as chair of the Unilever Diversity Steering Committee.
  • Lead and manage a team that implements the right activities, practices, and policies to foster employee engagement, build a truly diverse workforce, and assure an inclusive culture.
  • Remain current on all trends and best practices related to the enhancement of DEI&B initiatives.
