Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Support worker at band 3 level who is competent in Venepuncture, Cannulation and ECG performing, to join our team in AAU/ED.
  • This is a rotational post between AAU and ED allowing the successful candidate a varied working experience.
  • This is a new post allowing us to replace the displaced pathways caused by COVID.
  • When you join us, you will be working with 3 other Healthcare Support workers, 2 Registered Nurses an Advanced Care Practitioner along with medical colleagues to deliver excellent care to the people of the borders.
  • The AAU sees patients who have been referred into them via the GP the patient groups are mainly medical but we do have surgical and gynae hot clinics that run daily.
  • As there will be a rotation into the ED as the service develops this will be a 12 hour shift pattern with occasional nights.
  • We are looking forward to you becoming part of our team and working with us to develop a new service.
