What is the nature of the work schedule for the Human Resources Consultant position?

The Consultant will provide employee relations support, respond to employee inquiries, lead employee investigations, drive employee engagement initiatives, coach leaders, and pull HR reports, among other tasks.
What qualifications are required for this role?
A Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field and at least one year of employee relations experience are required. Alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED and three years of employee relations experience will also be accepted.
Are any certifications preferred for this position?
Yes, PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification, or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification are preferred.
What legislation knowledge is necessary for this role?
A knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local legislation as it applies to human resources and the employment process is required.
What types of committees might the Human Resources Consultant participate in?
The Consultant may participate on local and/or organization-wide committees that focus on projects aimed at advancing the organization toward its strategic goals.
Is there any specific clearance required for this position?
