What is the role of a LeDeR Reviewer?
The LeDeR Reviewer conducts reviews of the deaths of people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism to improve care, reduce health inequalities, and prevent early deaths in this population.
What qualifications or background are required for this position?
Candidates should have a professional health or social care background at a relatively senior level (Band 7) with experience in Learning Disabilities and Autism preferred. A background in review or investigation work would also be beneficial.
How many hours will I be expected to work each month?
The hours required vary, with a minimum of around 10 hours per month and a maximum of 30 to 40 hours per month, depending on the caseload demands.
Will I receive training for this role?
Yes, full training on the LeDeR system and methodology will be provided to all successful candidates.
Is this a permanent position?
This is a bank position offering ad hoc hours based on caseloads, meaning it is not a permanent fixed role.
Is travel required for this position?
Yes, travel across the Frimley ICB geography may be required in some circumstances.
What communication skills are necessary for this role?
Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to manage complex conversations and situations effectively.
Can I work from home?
Yes, bank LeDeR reviewers mainly work from home, but there may be a hybrid arrangement with some office-based work required.
