The primary responsibilities include managing global engineering standards, developing monitoring systems for specialty equipment, managing technical content with equipment vendors, leading feasibility assessments for equipment innovations, communicating with plant personnel about new technologies, and providing technical support throughout design, fabrication, and installation processes.
What is the initial project focus for this role?
The initial project involves developing a new design to improve the life cycle of a steel interleaver, which is key equipment within the curing process, and upgrading standard work procedures accordingly.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must have a BS Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering Technology, at least 8 years of experience in equipment design or technical services in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, and knowledge of mechanical equipment and machine design standards. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with specific manufacturing processes and FEA software like ANSYS.
How much travel is required for this position?
The position requires approximately 50% travel.
