Responsibilities

  • The role will require the need to travel to sites a company van will be provided.
  • The applicant may be expected to stay away from home on occasions, all expenses will be covered by the company in line with company policy.
  • The role will include the expectation that some mechanical and manual labour is required.
  • The role involves fault finding control panels on mobile silos and to be fully conversant with understanding of inverters and parameters and level indicators.
  • PAT testing portable appliances in addition to demonstrating competences in fault diagnosis.
  • You will be expected to have some fitting experience and working with hand tools with previous training in adopting correct manual handling techniques.
  • The role involves an element of using electronic technology so will need to be conversant and confident with using applications and emails.
  • Ensure all work carried out and documented in line with company health and safety policies.
  • Ensure that the van you are supplied with maintains high housekeeping standards on the inside and outside and that all speed limits and behaviours and disciplines are in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure plant equipment are maintained to high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that mobile silos are supplied to customers in a safe working condition.
  • Ensure production is maintained to required target levels by assisting online and mobile plant when required.
  • Ensure that van stock levels are maintained.
  • Maintain relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Contribute towards a zero incident health and safety site.
  • Reduce breakdowns and carry out planned preventative maintenance visits whilst ensuring stocks are maintained.
  • Adopt a structured approach to fault finding and planned maintenance.
  • Improve site production.
  • Demonstrate PC literacy to a reasonable level to compose emails and write reports in WORD whilst understanding spreadsheets.
