Responsibilities

  • - Support sponsored research which applies digital engineering (DE) methodologies to produce airworthy (DO-178), modular open systems approach (MOSA) enabled avionics solutions across a wide variety of defense programs related to Air Ground Networking Radio (AGNR), Blue Force Tracking (BFT), Future Vertical Lift (FVL), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), and the Aviation Mission Computing Environment (AMCE).
  • - Be responsible for information discovery system definition and design, interface management, technical trades, performance budgets, requirements management, and requirements-based validation and verification.
  • - Develop and execute novel system model-based approaches to define, design, analyze, and document system development.
  • - Apply MBSE tool suites to enable the use of model-based best practices in DoD acquisition and system life cycle support.
  • - Support stakeholders and sponsors in the application of MBSE to trade space analysis, design, and acquisition.
  • - Execute SE and MBSE processes including system definition, functional decomposition, requirements development, architectural development and analysis, design synthesis, system analysis, data modeling and architecture development, and test program development.
  • - Conduct product or system design synthesis translating requirements into physical architectures for systems of high complexity.
  • - Define/refine internal and external interfaces.
