What is the main responsibility of the Named Professional for Safeguarding Adults?
The main responsibility is to support the Head of Safeguarding Adults in delivering the aims and objectives of the NELFT Safeguarding Strategy, as well as providing support and guidance to teams and ensuring the organization meets its statutory safeguarding requirements.
Is there a requirement for travel in this role?
Yes, the post holder may be required to work across different areas of the NELFT footprint to ensure appropriate cover arrangements are in place.
What type of experience is required for this position?
Significant experience in a leadership role in adult safeguarding, line management responsibility, and thorough legal literacy is required, along with specialist knowledge in handling complex family situations related to safeguarding adults.
What training will be provided for new starters?
New starters will undergo a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which includes mandatory training, systems training, and meeting key personnel.
What are the working hours for this role?
The position is a full-time role, but specific hours may vary according to operational needs and responsibilities.

Is there a salary supplement for this role?
Yes, the position attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735.
