What is the starting salary for the Newly Qualified Paramedic position?

The starting salary is aligned with the advertised salary for the position; however, applicants will also receive a one-time payment of £1500 in their first month's pay, subject to usual tax and national insurance deductions.

What support and mentorship are provided during the initial months?

New paramedics will not respond solo for the first six months. They will receive between 150-300 hours of supervised practice with an experienced paramedic in the first 12 weeks after registration.

What is the structure of the Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) consolidation program?

The NQP consolidation program lasts for two years and provides structured support, mentorship, and supervision to help you transition into a confident and fully autonomous clinician.

You will have access to a 24/7 Clinical Advice Line for validating clinical decisions, advice on procedures, and assistance with complex on-scene decisions. You will also be issued a tablet to access electronic patient care records and up-to-date clinical guidelines.
