They will work closely with a dedicated team of clinical staff, volunteers, call handlers, and support services to ensure safe referrals and discharge processes.

What support is provided during the transition period for Newly Qualified Paramedics?

The transition includes a structured two-year Newly Qualified Paramedic (NQP) consolidation program with mentorship and supervision. Newly Qualified Paramedics will not respond solo in their first 6 months and will undergo 150-300 hours of supervised practice in the first 12 weeks after registration. Additionally, there is a 24/7 Clinical Advice Line available for clinical decision-making support.

Are there any financial incentives for joining the team?

Yes, there is a £1500 payment provided in your first month’s pay, subject to usual tax and National Insurance deductions.
