What is the full-time working week for NHS Scotland starting from April 2024?
The full-time working week will be reduced from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay.
Will part-time staff also have their hours adjusted?
Yes, the reduction in the working week will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
Will I need to work additional hours temporarily after April 2024?
Yes, in some service areas that cannot immediately adopt the 37-hour working week, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily until the new rosters or working patterns are implemented.

What responsibilities does the post holder have concerning patient care?

What does the managerial responsibility include for the post holder?
The post holder has managerial responsibility in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse/Team Manager, which includes supervision and deployment of staff.
Is PVG membership required for this position?
Yes, the post holder must have a PVG Scheme membership/record, and if not a current member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland before starting in the post.
