Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate training courses and efforts for the Operations Organization.
  • Maintains training, certifications, and development requirements current.
  • Collects, inputs, and extracts data, builds metrics, and performs data analysis
  • Ensures all Operations personnel training is current for their assigned tasks.
  • Notifies supervision of individuals with training coming due.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of training for Operations individuals based on the operating schedules of the facility to minimize the impact on the facility.
  • Ensures training is correctly assigned based on established requirements.
  • Acts as liaison between the Operations and Training organizations.
  • Understands the Operations training requirements and the basis for those requirements.
  • Understands the Task–to–Training Matrix and how the different elements are synchronized.
  • Facilitates the implementation of DOE O 426.2 for the Operations organization.
  • Acts as the POC for all the Operations Supervisors and Shift Managers for training issues.
  • Supports Operations Training procedure changes when required.
  • Evaluates impacts of changes in training requirements.
  • Maintains all training requirements within the Operations organization.
  • Supports the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.
