Requirements

  • A 2:1 undergraduate degree;
  • Ideally an LPC or BVC qualification (LPC would be preferred but is not essential)
  • Strong IT skills;
  • Ability to adhere to and manage deadlines;
  • Strong written skills;
  • Good administration skills;
  • Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate at interview that they:

Responsibilities

  • Case management and case progression, under lawyer level supervision;
  • Evidence reviews and bundle preparation, including identifying disclosable and unused material;
  • Drafting instructions to counsel and experts;
  • Liaising with clients, witnesses, experts, counsel and other stakeholders;
  • Supporting stakeholders through the fitness to practise process, including supporting vulnerable witnesses and those with additional support needs;
  • Conducting witness interviews and drafting witness statements;
  • Drafting general correspondence and legal documents;
  • Assisting lawyers to draft advice to the client on evidence, case prospects and case progression;
  • Attending conferences and hearings;
  • Undertaking research
