What qualifications are accepted to work as a Personal Support Worker?
Accepted qualifications include a valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), RN or RPN, nursing student (with 2 clinical placements completed), valid Developmental Support Worker Certificate, or being a foreign trained healthcare professional (Nurse).
What are the physical requirements of the position?
The position is physically demanding, requiring hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting up to approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement.
What certifications are required upon hire?
Required certifications include a valid driver’s license and vehicle, current CPR Certificate level C, a current immunization record (with a TB test completed within the past 12 months), and current vulnerable sector check screening.
