What are the main duties of the Pharmacy Assistant role?
The main duties include receipting and booking in pharmacy deliveries, ensuring safe storage of pharmacy goods, loading stock into the pharmacy robot, maintaining the cold chain for refrigerated items, top-up medications in Automated Drug Cabinets, and picking and processing medication requests for hospital ward areas.
Is this role based in the pharmacy dispensary?
No, this role is not a dispensary-based role and does not involve dispensing.
Will there be opportunities for training and certification?
Yes, there will be an opportunity to work towards obtaining an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services qualification, along with an extensive training package to support your success in the role.
